The chamber of NGOs has called on Parliament to reject the bill on NGOs sponsored by the Slovak National Party, as the chamber believes that it's discriminatory and flies in the face of both Slovak and European legislation. If the bill is passed, organizations receiving more than €5,000 from entities in foreign countries would be labeled 'organizations with foreign support'. Chamber president Marcel Zajac added that similar legislation in Hungary has caused the country "international reputational damage, put its access to EU Funds into jeopardy and was finally abolished by a decision of the Court of Justice of the EU”.
