The majority of Slovak employers plan to give their employees higher salaries this year and don't expect any lay-offs; on the contrary, they plan either to hire new people or at least maintain the current number of jobs, according to a survey conducted by Grafton agency. "In 2024, up to 89 percent of employers in our survey plan to introduce salary hikes. In more than half of these companies, salaries will go up by 6-10 percent. Only 11 percent of employers aren't planning any changes in salaries, and none of the companies plan to cut the salaries of their employees," added the agency's spokesperson.
