During this year's Easter holidays, the police registered 90 traffic accidents. One person died with them. Eight people were seriously injured and 41 people suffered minor injuries, according to spokesperson Denisa Bárdyová.
The police will carry out checks aimed at observing driving speed and banning the consumption of alcohol and other addictive substances throughout April. "The police officers will also check the compliance of the drivers of public transportation, i.e. buses and trolleybuses. Pedestrians, cyclists, scooter riders and motorcyclists will not escape the police's attention either," added Bardyova.
