Public-broadcaster Radio and Television Slovakia (RTVS) needs urgent changes. Several ministers spoke out before a cabinet meeting, Wednesday. Agriculture Minister Richard Takáč said "RTVS has failed to carry out its public mission.“ Economy Minister Denisa Sáková said: “RTVS should be objective and not act like a privately owned medium."
The government’s plan to change the management appointment procedure of RTVS met with a storm of criticism yesterday, from within Slovakia and abroad.
