New Council to improve regional development

The government is establishing a new Council for Regional Development and Cohesion Policy, to improve investment in the regions.

Minister for Investments Richard Raši said on Wednesday morning that the council would be a platform for the national government to meet regularly with regions, cities and towns; as well as academics and employers and minorities. The Council would meet every three months or more, if needed. It would be “the sieve through which all decisions pass before they are put into practice,” in the words of the State Secretary.
