There are still mountains in the Himalayas that have not been climbed from all directions. Slovak mountaineer Peter Hámor is making an attempt to make the first ascent of the south wall of the Kangbachen Mountain, 7,902 metres high.
At a press conference on Wednesday morning he said: "The wall is full of hanging glaciers, on which there are such glacier towers, and thus it is very dangerous in connection with avalanches.” He is leaving tomorrow Thursday with two companions and plans to start the climb on May 1.
