Austrian and British Ambassadors to Slovakia Helfried Carl and Andrew Garth, respectively, gave their letters of credentials to Slovak President Andrej Kiska on Thursday, announced the President Office's official website.
Austria belongs among one of the most important economic partners to Slovakia, with the country representing the fourth most significant export market for Slovakia and second largest foreign investor after the Netherlands. The new British Ambassador boasts considerable expertise in the sphere of economic diplomacy. He considers the search for common interests in the reform of EU and development of economic cooperation as priorities of his tenure in Slovakia.
