The cancellation of the high-level contacts between the Czech and Slovak governments is an unpleasant situation and a "slap from a brother," said former prime minister, Mikuláš Dzurinda.
“A slap always hurts, but a slap from a brother hurts doubly. It is a warning from the other side of the Morava that something unpleasant is happening in Slovakia, that we have reached a slope from which it will be difficult to get out," he said. The fact that criticism from Czechia will not change Fico is the saddest part, he said.
He delivered this statement jointly with the current deputy prime minister of the Czech Republic, Marian Jurečka.
