On the occasion of international Women's Day, the recruitment agency Alma Career points out that women in Slovakia earn 25% less than men. The average monthly salary for men in Slovakia is 2,100 euros, for women it is just under 1,600 euros. The gap doesn’t decrease with the length of employment; on the contrary, it grows after six years, it is 600 rather than 500 euros.
