The Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic suspects manipulation in the awarding of grants to support human rights. The subsidy mechanism will therefore undergo an audit.
"If it is confirmed that the selection of applicants was manipulated, some applicants could be disadvantaged," said Katarína Roskoványi, Deputy Justice Minister.
The Ministry said that it had identified several conflicts of interests and direct personal, and even family connections to the political opposition.
