House speaker Peter Pellegrini was in Cyprus yesterday, Monday, to attend the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the UN peacekeeping mission there, to ensure the ceasefire between Greek and Turkish Cypriots. The UN currently has over 1,000 people on Cyprus - military, police and civilian. Slovakia has been part of the mission since 2001. There are currently 240 Slovak soldiers in Cyprus.
