The Volvo car company, which is building an assembly plant near Košice, is very interested in employing Roma. This according to Labor Minister Erik Tomáš.
The plant will need 5, people eventually, and another 12,000 will be working at suppliers, said Tomas. "The special thing about Volvo is that it has a huge interest in employing our Roma fellow citizens. We'll see how it goes, but they literally put an emphasis on it. They want to employ Roma. We will do everything to make it happen," he said. (TASR)
