In the view of Prime Minister Robert Fico, the opposition is "demanding the European Union to take money away from Slovakia."
"Where possible, we do what we can, but the opposition contacts bodies of the European Commission, the European Parliament and proposes that Slovakia should be punished for pursuing a sovereign foreign policy and that our funds should be taken away," said Fico, calling this outrageous and stating that his party "didn't do such dirty things" when in opposition.
