Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has invited Slovak head of state Andrej Kiska to visit Ukraine, with the Slovak president accepting the invitation, TASR learnt from the president's press department on Tuesday.
Poroshenko's invitation was extended by Ukraine's Ambassador to Slovakia Oleg Havashi, whom Kiska received at Havashi's request. Meanwhile, Kiska expressed his support for the pro-European orientation of Ukraine and pledged for Slovakia to stand ready to share its experience with Ukraine in regards to reform processes. The two officials also discussed the situation ahead of Ukraine's parliamentary elections as well as the situation regarding security in eastern Ukraine and perspectives for a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
