The popularity of the two largest parties in government is growing. But so is the share of the largest opposition party, PS. All three improved their share of the vote by about one percentage point, compared to last autumn, when elections took place.
According to the latest poll by Ipsos, Smer, the party of Prime Minister Robert Fico, is now at 23 per cent; number two Hlas is at 16.5. Opposition party PS grew to 21 per cent.
If an election took place now, neither the coalition party SNS nor the opposition cluster named Slovakia would have enough votes to be represented in Parliament.
The poll was carried out between February 16 and February 21 on a sample of 1,028 respondents. (TASR)
