The Justice Ministry came under fire Wednesday for scrapping a 770,000 euro subsidy for the so-called Human Rights programme. Member of Parliament Vladimíra Marcinková (SaS) thinks it is an attempt to liquidate the non-governmental sector.
"A coalition that liquidates its critics, liquidates a healthy civil society, is approaching autocracy," she said Wednesday.
The Ministry of Justice says the money will now be used to help victims of violence.
