Economy: faster growth, unemployment low

The Slovak economy is expected to grow by 0.5 percent in the first three months of the year, and that would be an acceleration from the 0.3 % recorded at the end of last year.

The Budgetary Responsibility Council expects the economy to grow 2.1 percent for the full year, compared to 1.1 per cent last year.

Unemployment is still at a low of around 4 per cent, half a percentage point better than at the same time last year. (TASR)
