The Transport Minister Jozef Ráž stated that the Strategic Investment Act will speed up many construction projects such as those of highways. Ráž says that many objections from NGOs have been met. The government approved this act on the fourteenth of February. However, the opposition argues that the law will not speed up construction. The law focuses on the permitting process and merges zoning proceedings with construction proceedings. The third sector was most concerned about the act. Lawyer Ivana Figuli appreciates the adoption of the comments. However, the problem is that this is a new act that will bring confusion. The act still has to be approved in parliament.
