Slovakia's trade balance for the whole of 2023 recorded a surplus of €4.2 billion. The year before, it had a deficit of 4.5 billion. The big swing was caused by a big increase in exports of cars and machinery; while prices of imported gas and oil dropped sharply. (TASR)
