Kmec wants to improve Recovery Fund mechanism

The Deputy Prime Minister for EU Funds Peter Kmec said that money from Brussels is being invested too slowly. He said individual regions find themselves either unable to implement projects, or there's no demand for them. The Recovery Plan hasn't been consulted with the regions, which often have different priorities and requirements, he said.

After talks with associations representing regions and towns, Kmec concluded that the regions are plagued by the complexity of calls for projects, the lack of administrative capacities and other hurdles. He wants to address these in a revision of the Recovery Plan.
