Cops monitor flight schools and asylum seekers

Slovak police officers who are engaged in the fight against terrorism are now looking at possible connections between flight schools and asylum seekers.

“We have a high standard map of relationships in the community, whether Muslim or other languages groups, such as people from the former Yugoslavia or the Caucasus region. We also evaluate information from our foreign partners, which could be related directly or indirectly to the situation in Slovakia,” said a source at the Police Corps, who wished not to disclose his name, in an interview with SITA news agency. “We monitor individuals and groups who came either from risk areas or communities at risk and are suspected to have links to radicals in the past, or have been in contact with people who have undergone training done by terrorist organizations,” said a source at the police department, who denies having someone monitored based on their religion.
