Health Minister Zuzana Dolinkova met US Ambassador Slovakia Gautam A. Rana at the Health Ministry to present the priorities of her portfolio and discuss further options of potential cooperation, TASR learnt from the ministry press department on Wednesday.
Dolinkova pointed to her ministry's significant year-on-year budgetary hike of almost one billion euros in 2024.
The Minister also outlined the current state of progress regarding reforms under the Recovery and Resilience Plan. "This year, almost eight billion euros will be funnelled into the health sector overall. We need to put these resources to responsible and efficient use. The topmost priority will be to stabilise personnel and draft the National Health Strategy," said Dolinkova.
At the meeting, Ambassador Rana also inquired about the provision of health care to Ukrainian nationals and discussed with the minister investments into health care and personnel stabilisation.
