Slovaks still have a problem managing their personal finances. According to a survey done by the foundation Partners and the agency Focus, Slovaks are unaware of potential risks, underestimate financial security in the event of unexpected circumstances, and are unable to manage their monthly budgets so that they ensure a better financial situation for themselves.
The survey revealed that 69 percent of Slovaks aren't capable of setting aside as little as 10 percent of their income. Some - 36 percent of them are incapable of saving any money whatsoever. Furthermore, as many as 80 percent of the respondents have no or insufficient financial reserves and more than half of those who do have some reserves are unable to use them properly.
