President Zuzana Čaputová decided to personally present her objections to the legislative changes to the MPs. She wants to speak in Parliament about her objections to the amendment to the Criminal Code. The head of state said that these are serious changes in the state's criminal policy, which were not preceded by the classic legislative process, i.e. commenting, nor by public expert discussion. She considers the adoption process to be highly inappropriate. Since the beginning of the week, the Parliament has been discussing the government's proposal that the amendment to the Criminal Code be discussed in an abbreviated legislative procedure.
