Minister of the Environment Tomáš Taraba wants clarification from Nippon Steel about the takeover of US Steel. The Slovak government has committed 600 million euros for the decarbonisation of the plant in Eastern Slovakia, and he wants to know if the new Japanese owner will complete that project, or has other plans.
