Slovakia's foreign trade balance showed a surplus of almost 300 million euro in November 2023. Cars and machinery continued to dominate exports, but the surplus was mostly due to lower import prices for oil, gas and electricity. This continues a trend: the value of these goods has dropped by 43 per cent since the beginning of the year.
For the first 11 months of last year, total exports increased 5.9 per cent, total imports dropped 2.1 per cent. (TASR)
