Slovakia has suspended extra border controls on the crossings with Hungary because the situation is calm. Interior Minister Sutaj Estok says he wants to give border police a rest so they will be ready when traffic increases again in spring.
The Czech Republic however has announced it will keep an eye on people coming in from Slovakia, at least until February 2d. (TASR)
