There was a bus crash that took place between the village of Svätý Jur and the nearby capital Bratislava on Friday. The bus, which was riding on a regular route between Myjava and Bratislava, was carrying as many as 35 passengers.
According to witnesses, a tractor cutting the grass along the roadside suddenly appeared in the bus's path following a curve. The bus driver swerved to avoid the other vehicle, but the bus glanced the central crash barrier and then turned over. The police are still investigating the possible causes of the collision. The accident was fatal for the driver and 33 people, including four British nationals and one Russian were among those injured in the accident. 10 people sustained life-threatening injuries.
