Interior Minister Matúš Šutaj Eštok said his priorities are to stabilize the Police Force and to change crisis management. He says the police is understaffed, ill-equipped and not respected. Hiring more police is not an option at the moment, he said, but he wants to help officers with better equipment.
As for crisis management, he said he wants a major change because in three and a half years the state has always failed, leaving local governments and volunteers to deal with crises.
