Minister for the Environment, Tomáš Taraba, said he will put an end to land buying for national parks. The state does not need to own land to protect it, he said, because the law says nobody can develop there, private citizen or otherwise. The government can better use the money for other purposes, for example developing tourism in Eastern Slovakia. (TASR)
