During the debate about the so-called Competence Law, opposition parties objected to the proposed changes to the appointment of the heads of several supervisory and auditing agencies: the Health Care Supervisory Authority, the Statistical Office and the Antimonopoly Office. The amendment would allow the government to dismiss the heads of these offices at any time without proper reasons.
