Salaries grew faster than inflation for the first time in over two years. The Statistics Office reported on Wednesday that average, nominal monthly wages increased the most in restaurants and catering by 18% year-on-year in October. Wages in industry, wholesale trade and retail also rose strongly.
In real terms, after inflation, pay rose almost 10% in restaurants and catering, and 4% in industry.
