The organizers of the World Cup downhill skiing race in Jasná have asked the government to follow through on a promise to support the event. The budget is 3.8 million euros, of which 900,000 euros or about a quarter was promised by the previous government.
The head of Tatry Mountain Resorts, which operates the Jasná ski resort, Igor Rattaj, pointed out that it is high time to resolve the issue of support from the state.
The Ministry of Education, which manages the Sports Support Fund, responded that a decision on the matter should be made in the next few days.
