President Zuzana Čaputová travelled on Thursday to climate summit COP28 in Dubai. Čaputová has a speech there on Friday during the leaders summit. In her speech, Čaputová plans to call for the need to urgently meet emission reduction commitments, but also for further action to tackle the climate crisis. The president´s spokesperson Martin Strižinec informed, Čaputová also wants to speak about the need to phase out the use of fossil fuels in the energy sector. The president also wants to highlight the benefits of green transformation. Not only for improving the environment, but it also brings new jobs and economic modernisation. Čaputová is accompanied by a delegation of entrepreneurs operating in the green and cleantech sectors. Municipal representatives with experience in green transformation are also part of the delegation.
