The Czech Republic and Slovakia could cooperate in the field of energy within the reserve capacities sharing project, which might bring more stable and lower energy prices, Czech Senate Chair Milos Vystrcil and Slovak Parliamentary Chair Peter Pellegrini concurred during their meeting in Prague today. Debate on special legislation in this area could begin in the two countries' parliaments next year.
MIlos Vystrcil: "We also talked about the foreign policy, especially relations with Ukraine. Concerning the relations within the Visegrad 4 group, Mr Pellegrini came up with the idea of renewing the tradition of meetings of the parliaments of the four member countries. I was happy to accept this suggestion."
Pellegrini will also meet with Czech President Petr Pavel and speaker of the parliament Marketa Adamova Pekarova later in the day.
Defence Minister Robert Kalinak also visits Czech republic today, he is meeting with his Czech counterpart.
