The debate on a vote of no confidence in the Interior Minister, Matus Sutaj Estok, will resume tomorrow, Tuesday, starting at nine in the morning. About 30 people have asked for speaking time.
The main complaint of the opposition parties is that he should have refrained from suspending six investigative policemen, because they were under the protection of the Whistleblowers Act.
Minister for Investments Richard Rasi on the weekend said the minister explained his legal position satisfactorily.
Another minister, Tomas Taraba of Environment, said that the government is planning to propose changes to the law on the Protection of Whistleblowers, in December.
Meanwhile, the Interior Minister Matus Sutaj Estok, on Monday morning announced on a social network that he is filing a criminal complaint over the circumstances under which protection was provided to investigators centred around Jan Curilla.
