The new government of Prime Minister Robert Fico this morning sent its Manifesto to Parliament. The document counts 87 pages and is headed “Living Better, More Peaceful and Safe.” It starts off with a list of criticisms of the previous government. The Manifesto details the coalition’s program for the next four years and will be debated in parliament later this week. One important goal is reducing government deficit spending. In 2024 the reduction of the public finance deficit will amount to 0.5 percent of gross domestic product (GDP).
