New jobs planned for Košice

One thousand new jobs are to be created in Košice. The company Howe Slovensko is to open some 600 positions and the limited liability company Airberlin Technik Slovakia is to gradually create 400 new jobs on the premises of Košice airport.

Economy Minister Pavol Pavlis provided this information at a news briefing in the Košice seat of Howe on Tuesday. The investors are currently negotiating the provision of investment stimuli with the ministry. Airberlin is to open about 400 jobs in the first phase. The company is to open a new design centre on the premises of Košice airport and open 40 new jobs already this year. In the second phase, it wants to establish a facility for the repair of aeroplane braking systems and in the third phase redesign the interiors of passenger aircraft. The investment cost is projected at between 10 and 20 million euro.
