´Schools and universities should set higher standards‘

One point where there was rare agreement between government and opposition: secondary schools and universities should set higher standards and think more about what the labour market needs.

This became apparent during a Sunday TV debate between Education Minister Tomas Drucker and MP Michal Truban, of Progressive Slovakia. It’s not about cutting schools, said Drucker and Truban concurred.

They also agreed that NGOs in education are not only about ideology but also about education and can be useful.
