Police increase surveillance on trains and stations after stabbing

The woman who was stabbed on a train on Wednesday evening is recovering from wounds to her arms and neck. She will be okay in two weeks, the doctors said. The police have pressed charges of attempted murder and disorderly conduct against the 29-year-old man who stabbed her, on the train between Kosice and Zilina.  If found guilty, he could spend up to 20 years in prison.

The police have also announced they will increase patrols on stations and in selected trains.
