The head of the police corps, Stefan Hamran, who led several investigations of politicians, was fired as he himself had expected.
The reasons are “serious reservations about him bringing political and personal attitudes into the work of the police chief," said a spokesman for the Interior Ministry. He said the incoming minister, Matus Sutaj Estok, was also concerned about the insufficient police action in dealing with illegal migration, he said.
