The Slovak National Party has withdrawn the nomination of Rudolf Huliak for the post of Environ minister and put forward instead the name of Tomas Taraba, currently a member of parliament.
At a press conference, Taraba said: "If there will be a problem with my nomination, then we are talking about a pure effort to prevent the formation of a pro-national government in Slovakia."
The SNS party blocked journalists from SME and Aktuality from attending the press conference.
Huliak’s candidacy drew a storm of protests. The question is whether Taraba will be less controversial.
