The Ministry of Economic Affairs wants to deregulate the tourist business. Guides would no longer have to pass an exam before they are allowed to work. Business conditions for travel agencies would also be relaxed under the ministry’s proposals. If approved by the government and parliament, the changes could take effect next summer.
