People may notice in the coming days burning on flare stacks, increased noise levels and bad smell from the Slovnaft refinery in Bratislava in connection with the gradual restart of production units following the extraordinary event on Thursday, which may last several days.
The refinery experienced a power outage earlier in the day, which led to the shutdown of several production units as well as combustion on all flare stacks and increased noise levels around the facility. As a result, several neighbouring municipalities and Bratislava boroughs alerted the locals.
The electricity supply to the Slovnaft refinery in Bratislava was restored shortly, and production within the facility was being put back online gradually.
