Power utility Slovenske elektrarne (SE) has completed the final test of the third reactor block of the Mochovce nuclear power plant, running the reactor at 100 percent of its nominal power continuously for six days. This achievement means the reactor is ready to feed the grid. Each of the three reactors is capable of delivering 13 per cent of the country’s electricity needs. Slovakia expects to be a net exporter of energy after the fourth reactor has started up. Unit 4's schedule has been to follow about one or two years behind unit 3.
