Industrial production in Slovakia increased by 4.6 percent year-on-year in August. The Statistics Office reported that it is the steepest growth since the start of 2023. The performance in August was chiefly influenced by a 27-percent increase in the production of cars. The high year-on-year growth was the result of a lower benchmark, as some car manufacturers had company-wide summer breaks in August last year, but this year they chose only July for this purpose.
