The most successful Slovak biathlete Anastasia Kuzminova has announced her return. The three-time Olympic champion will compete at the European Championships in January. 39 year-old Kuzminova previously announced the end of her career in October 2019. During her active career, Kuzmina won six Olympic medals, three gold and three silver, became world champion once and won 14 World Cup races. She cannot start any event until the European Championships because the anti-doping system does not allow her to do so. She has to undergo a transitional six-month period, which is set for athletes after a career break.
