Bratislava newcomer among best cities for life

The Slovak capital Bratislava is catching up to Prague, London or New York when it comes to the quality of life. The Economist weekly placed Bratislava among the top ten cities which have improved the quality of life for their inhabitants in the last five years.

The number one newcomer in this section is Taipei, followed by Bratislava as number two. The liveability index takes into consideration a number of factors, among them also safety, healthcare, educational resources, infrastructure and the environment. The overall best city for life in the world is Melbourne, followed by the Austrian Vienna and the Canadian Vancouver.
