On Thursday, the European Parliament approved the proposal to appoint Slovak European Commissioner Maros Sefcovic as the European Commission Executive Vice-president in charge of the European Green Deal. President of European Commission Ursula von der Leyen congratulated the Commissioner on the extension of his responsibilities. Von der Leyen posted on her social network that she counts on his experience and determination for this crucial implementation phase to push European world-leading legislation through its final stretch.
