This summer was among the warmest in the history of meteorological measurements in Slovakia. At a press conference on Thursday, however, the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute reported that summer 2023 didn't set a record. The maximum air temperature this year was 36.5 degrees Celsius. Last year it was as much as 40 degrees, but this September was exceptionally warm.
